Oktoberfest with the Grafton Group

The Hourly Instagram

Harvard Square is going Bavarian on Sunday, October 13th, for the 41st annual Oktoberfest celebration from noon to 6:00pm. The neighborhood will be alive with the sound of oomping tubas and the 14th annual HONK Parade, where musicians and pedestrians take over the streets with music and dancing. Bring your appetite and clear your calendar, this event is chock full of German-style delicacies and The Hourly Oyster House’s shucking tent (on JFK Street) where they’ll be crcking open some East Coast oysters and pouring Jack’s Abby House Lager and Copper Legend (along with spiked seltzer for non beer fans). You can also pop in to PARKGrafton Street or Russell House Tavern if you want a break from the action right in the thick of things or head to Temple Bar or State Street Provisions if you want to stay (a little or a lot, respectively) out of the fray. This event is too big for tickets—everything’s a la carte, just show up and get swept up in the excitement! Consult the whole schedule of events online here.
