Canard Wine Dinner

Ledger Facebook

Wine lovers — here’s a special dinner in Salem that you won’t want to miss. Ledger welcomes the folks from Canard Vineyard to Mass. to share some of the special sips they’ve been cultivating in Napa Valley. Each year, the California crew produces just eight unique wines using grapes grown right on the estate. On Friday, November 2nd, you’ll get to try five of the eight current releases including the limited-production 2017 “Coucher de Soleil” Estate Rosé that’s made from whole cluster pressed Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel; the rich and medium-bodied 2014 Adam’s Blend with hints of strawberry jam, red plums and violets; and 2014 The Rescuer, which is aged for 19 months in French oak barrels.

Chefs Matt O’Neil and Daniel Gursha are pulling out all the stops in the kitchen, prepping a five-course family style meal that’ll feature octopus, mushroom ravioli, duck, prime rib and lots of cheese. Take your seat starting at 7:00pm in the spot’s private dining area — the Macomber Room — and get ready to ooo and ahhh at the plates and pairings presented to you. Tickets are $125 per person plus tax & gratuity, and you can call 978.594.1908 to make your reservation, but get crackin’ because spots are limited!
