The gals of LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails) raise a glass or two in tribute to Benedictine, which is celebrating its five hundred years of being on the un-endangered list. Pay your respects at The Franklin Southie on Sunday, October 10th. From 8:00-10:30pm, these master mixologists will be serving Benedictine-based cocktails while the kitchen, helmed by chef Asia Mei, will be sending out complimentary Benedictine inspired hors d’oeuvres. Benedictine will be donating $10 for each attendee to the charity of LUPEC’s choice (the monks would want it that way). Up to $1000 will be donated to On the Rise, a Cambridge-based charity that helps women build and develop the relationships and resources they need to move out of homelessness.
