Malaysian American Pop-Up at Spoke

Chef Paul Butler of Spoke and Chef Derrick Teh of Sekali are teaming up for a Modern Malaysian American Pop-Up at the Davis Square wine bar on Sunday, June 5th. The dinner showcases a blend of both cultures, combining the different techniques and flavors of American and Malaysian food in dishes like a savory donut with curry, beets and fermented pineapple, and scallop hinava with snap peas, shimeji mushrooms, edamame and palm sugar. In addition to small plates, the meal features libations from Koharu Usui of Bar Goto in New York. Tickets are $100 each, which gets you three courses plus either one cocktail or two mocktails. There will be additional cocktails, wine, and beer available for purchase.

Scope out the menu (subject to change) below, then reserve your spot online here. Spoke requires proof of vaccination and a photo ID for all guests for indoor dining, just FYI, so plan accordingly. Call 617.718.9463 for more info.
