The folks at Steel & Rye are taking this whole bread-baking-during-the-shutdown to the next level, turning a portion of their Milton restaurant into a bakery and café. The menu, which is still being finalized, will include a full selection of house-made breads (yes, including sourdough but also whole wheat baguette, seeded Danish rye and spelt country loaf) as well as sandwiches, grain bowls, coffee, juice and sodas.
They expect to launch the new menu next week for take-out (stay tuned!) and they plan on being open daily starting at 11:00am after that. Don’t worry though you’ll still be able to have all your tried and true Steel & Rye faves – they’ll still be serving dinner starting at 4:00pm (as take-out for the time being and in the dining room once the restrictions have been lifted).
