If you’re looking for a proper plate of pasta or an authentic Italian pizza in Watertown, look no further than Ravello on Belmont Street. Chef Jeffrey Cincotta’s cozy dining room named for the town of Ravello on the Amalfi coast of Italy is a haven for hand-made pastas and classic Italian dishes that will satisfy any old world craving. Cincotta is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and spent decades cutting his teeth at country clubs before going out on his own with Molinari’s in Dorchester’s Adams Village and Ravello, which both serve up heaping plates of red sauce classics plus some fun new world twists.

The menu features classic eats that are based on Concotta’s grandmother's recipes (think: arancini, meatballs, and house-made sauces). In addition to pizza and pasta, you can find a selection of classic apps and hearty mains made with local seafood and produce, plus a few select Italian desserts to finish off the evening. Sip on something from the solid selection of local craft beers or a Peroni import, or indulge in a craft cocktail or mocktail while your pizza bubbles and crisps, and order a glass or two (or a bottle) from the selection of red-sauce-friendly red, white and rosé wines for the main course.

The dining room features low-top tables for small parties as well as bar seating, with large windows for looking out onto Belmont Street as you munch on a pile of fettuccine or gnocchi. There are also tables out front for limited patio seating in warmer weather — perfect for a few apps and a bottle of Chianti after work.
