Tucked in at 789 Adams Street in Dorchester, Molinari’s is the spot for Italian comfort food in Adams Village. Owned and operated by Jeffrey Cincotta, the small but mighty space is a haven for wood-fired, brick oven pizza and classic eats that are based on Concotta’s grandmother's recipes from the old world (think: arancini, meatballs and house-made sauces and pastas). Cincotta is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and spent decades cutting his teeth at country clubs before taking a chance on building a neighborhood business that serves up heaping plates of red sauce classics plus some fun new world twists.

The dining room, which seats around 48, features exposed brick and an open kitchen behind the long bar so you can keep an eye on your dinner in progress, and there is a mix of low and high top tables for seating, and a banquette to one side.

In addition to pizza and pasta, the menu features a selection of classic apps and hearty mains, plus a few select Italian desserts to finish off the evening. Sip on something from the solid selection of local craft beers or a Peroni import, or indulge in a craft cocktail or mocktail while your pizza bubbles and crisps, and order a glass or two (or a bottle) from the selection of red-sauce-friendly red, white and rosé wines for the main course.
