The team at A&B Burgers is putting their kitchen to good use while the dining room is closed, donating up to 140 meals per day Monday through Friday. They’re working with different organizations throughout the week – feeding dinner to families with parents that have been laid off from work, providing food for kids who don’t have access to the free lunch programs at their now-closed schools, getting sustenance to residents of two area homeless shelters and delivering meals to doctors and nurses at local hospitals.
Owner Tom Holland, who plans on continuing to support the community as long as he’s able (or until things return to normal – fingers crossed!) says “It’s been a fantastic experience so far and really inspirational for our team. This has allowed me to be able to pay some of my staff that needs the hours.”
