On Saturday, April 28th the ladies of Boston’s culinary community team up with seven of California’s top female vintners for Wine, Women & Shoes, a stylish and delicious fundraiser for the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden. WBZ’s Lisa Hughes emcees and guests, having shelled out $150 each, can sip superior Californian wines, ogle fashions from Sara Campbell, Tess & Carlos and the Studio, and purchase designer shoes fresh from the shelves at Nordstrom. Eleven lady chefs and one token male will be plating some of their signature spring dishes – look for Carolyn Johnson of Rialto, Deborah Hughes of UpStairs on the Square, Marisa Iocco, Rachel Klein of OM Restaurant | Lounge, Ana Sortun of Oleana, Jörg Amsler of Truly Jörg’s Pâtisserie, Lynn Moulton of blu and Lee Napoli most recently of Sandrine’s, among the participants. The fun gets underway at 7:15pm at the Back Bay Events Center (180 Berkeley Street).
