The Great Match

On Tuesday, October 11th, get to know Spanish wines at The Great Match, the most comprehensive showcase of Spanish wines in the States, featuring more than 200 wines paired with an international tapas menu prepared by the area’s top chefs. Chefs Jody Adams of Rialto, Steven Brand of UpStairs on the Square, Laura Brennan of Caffè Umbra, Todd Winer of Olives, Tom Fosnot of blu at the Sports Club LA, Tim Partridge of Perdix, Michael Schlow and Lee Chizmar of Great Bay, Lydia Shire of Locke-Ober, Anthony Susi of Sage and Katherine See of Kingfish Hall will be on hand pairing tasty little tapas-style morsels to accompany Spain’s latest varietals and new releases. The event takes place from 6:00-9:00pm (with a trade tasting from 2:00-5:00pm) at The State Room at 60 State Street. Admission is $50 per person with proceeds from the event benefit Community Servings, the Boston-based non-profit that provides free home-delivered meals to individuals and families with HIV/AIDS and other acute life-illnesses.
