Perhaps your mushroom hunting hasn’t been as fruitful as you’d hoped this year – y’know where you can find some mushrooms? In Cambridge. At Forage. And they’re willing to share. On Tuesday, October 18th, chef-owner Eric Cooper and co-owner/in-house wine expert Stan Hilbert are joining forces with friend and forager Tyler Akabane, owner of The Mushroom Shop in Somerville, for a special fungi-filled evening. The four-course meal, paired with natural wines, of course, costs $105 per person and includes courses like roast shiitake and watermelon salad, and hen of the woods Roman gnocchi – there are even mushrooms in the dessert (you can see the whole menu below). Akabane will be on hand to talk about all things mushroom-related (maybe he’ll give some mushroom-hunting tips). Book your spot online here or by calling 617.576.5444.
