Once again, Community Servings is teaming up with 150 of the area’s most adept at pastry-making to bake up a whole mess of apple (regular and diabetic versions), pumpkin, pecan and sweet potato pies ready to hit your holiday table. If you’ve ever wanted to taste what the folks from Mistral can do with pie, or see what the bakers at Grill 23 can whip up, now’s your chance. Time’s running out though – you’ve got to place your order before Saturday, November 19th. Pies will be ready for pickup at any one of dozens of locations throughout the greater Boston area on Wednesday, November 23rd. Proceeds from each $25 pie help Community Servings provide healthy, home-delivered meals for individuals homebound with acute life-threatening illnesses.
