If it feels like everyone’s going to Portugal lately, you’re not wrong. People are flocking across the ocean to check out the sun-washed beaches, historical cities, and of course the amazing food and wine. You can get a taste of what all the jet setters are getting into at Forage in Cambridge on Tuesday, May 21st as Stan Hilbert and chef Eric Cooper take a deep dive into the natural wines of this storied country.
Take a look at the menu below, which features some of this season’s first local ingredients like Taranome Salad with Blueberry Umeboshi Vinaigrette and Pistachio Dukkah; and Duck Breast with Garlic Scapes, Lavender & Chili Maine Grains Salad and Braised Cabbage. You’ll also get to taste four fabulous wines from the Doro to Montejunto and Alentejo, including 2022 Rabigato, Muxagat; 2021 “Anfora Branca,” Uvio; and 2023 “Branco do Tareco,” XXVI Talhas. Scoop up spots here between 5:00 and 8:45pm. Dinner costs $110 per person, and you can always take home any bottles you like after dinner for retail prices, just talk to your server.
