They may be best known as a steakhouse but they do love their soft shell crabs at The Metropolitan Club – so much so, they’re spending thirty days paying tribute to the tasty little crustacean. Get out to Chestnut Hill any night between now and June 9th to enjoy this super seasonal specialty. Chef Todd Winer, appeasing purists and more adventurous eaters, will be offering simple preparations (pan seared, fried or meuniére) nightly, as well as a special creative preparation. Depending on when you drop by, you might find offerings like soft shell Monte Cristo, crispy crab omelet or tempura spicy glazed crab.
