Get some globe-trotting in before summer wraps up without ever leaving the South End. On Thursday, August 20th, Petit Robert Bistro is heading to the Basque Country for a special menu inspired by the region that stretches across northern Spain and southwestern France, channeling its bold flavors and laid-back energy.
The menu is available either à la carte or as a $55 prix fixe, starting with Chipirons (garlicky grilled baby squid) before moving on to Poulet Basquaise with crispy-skinned chicken, spicy red pepper and tomato sauce. And of course no other dessert will do than a slice of Basque cheesecake and blackberry coulis, which happens to pair perfectly with Sangria Euskadi or a Picon Punch.
