Time is running out to place your Pie in the Sky pie order. For the eighteenth year in a row, Community Servings has enlisted the help of some of the city’s best chefs, bakers, caterers and pie makers in baking piles of piles of pies in holiday-appropriate flavors like apple, pecan, pumpkin, sweet potato and even diabetic apple. More than one hundred generous cookers are donating their time and baked goods to the cause (check out the whole glorious list here) so you might get one baked by the team at Gaslight or Market, or fresh from the oven at Regal Beagle or the Summer Shack. Place your order before Saturday, November 20th and your pie will be ready for pick up (at one of 45 designated pie pick up locations) on Wednesday, November 24th. Proceeds from each $25 pie help Community Servings provide healthy, home-delivered meals for individuals homebound with acute life-threatening illnesses.
