Liz Nicol Visits Vermilion

Matthew Morse

It’s easy to raise a toast to Pride Month when Vermilion hosts VinePair’s new Unfiltered series with a visit from one of Boston’s best brewmasters, Liz Nicol, on Tuesday, June 23rd. The founder and head brewer of Jamaica Plain’s Drawdown Brewing Company is popping into chef John Fraser’s posh chophouse to take over the beverage menu for the night with a curated lineup of beers, which is the perfect chance for you to get to know some of the city’s best suds.

Nicol has built a loyal following through Drawdown’s community-focused approach, inclusive hospitality and dedication to women’s sports, and she was recently named VinePair’s 2025 Next Wave Brewer of the Year. The Club’s regular a la carte dinner menu will be available all night, and there are no tickets necessary. Even better, portion of the proceeds from the night will benefit the Equality Fund at The Boston Foundation, which works to advance equity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) individuals and their families, so you can feel even better about going for a second round. Grab a reservation online between 5:00 and 8:00pm and head Downtown for a night out.

Also, be sure to follow VinePair on Instagram to keep up with the Unfiltered series, which was created by VinePair’s Amy Racine to bring together some of the most exciting voices in beverage and hospitality…you won’t want to miss a sip!
