Plain old eggs and bacon can take a back seat starting Saturday, May 9th, when Gustazo Cuban Kitchen & Bar kicks off brunch service at both the Cambridge and Waltham locations. Chef Patricia Estorino is bringing her signature Cuban flavors to the midday space with a menu of amazing brunch dishes including Camarones con Tamal en Cazuela with shrimp, crispy quinoa, sunny-side-up eggs over Cuban-style grits, and Pollo Frito a la Criolla, a crispy fried chicken and pão de queijo waffle combo. If you’re more of a sweet tooth, go for crêpes stuffed with dulce de leche, guava, or Nutella, snack on churros con chocolate, or grab fresh pastries from Iggy’s like chocolate croissants and honey pecan buns.
Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am to 2:30pm, which gives you plenty of time to get your weekend chores done beforehand, and what better reward is there for anything than a brunch cocktail? Treat yo’ self to guava, mango, pineapple and orange mimosas, signature sips like The Guava Blossom (gin, guava purée, lemon, and elderflower), or a round of espresso martinis for a boost of caffeine.
