Better have those bathing suits ready because this is not a drill: RTP season has officially arrived at The Colonnade. The hotel’s beloved Roof Top Pool, better known as RTP, has reopened for its 54th season, bringing back one of the city’s most sought-after summer escapes. Perched 12 stories above Huntington Avenue, RTP is a resort-style oasis right in the middle of the city, complete with lounge seating, private cabanas, poolside cocktails, and all-day dining.
This summer comes with even more reasons to spend the day poolside, including a curated Lending Library created in partnership with Cambridge’s Lovestruck Books & Café. Pick a beach read from women, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ authors and get settled into your lounger for a steamy afternoon in the Back Bay. If all that page turning works up an appetite, there’s an updated food and drinks menu this season, with lobster rolls and Caribbean chicken tenders, plus you can cool down with frozen cocktails and espresso martinis between dips in the pool.
RTP is open to the public through Labor Day every Monday through Thursday, and Sundays after 2:00 PM for $55 per person (and free to hotel guests every day). Every Monday night from 6:00 to 9:00pm, vocalist MB Padfield will perform live, plus there’s a live DJ spinning tunes every Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Check out this link for cabana reservations and answers to most common Qs, or give the hotel a call at 617.424.7000 for specifics.
