Forage Asparagus Dinner

Forage‘s most eagerly anticipated seasonal tradition is back on Tuesday, June 9th, with the return of the Asparagus Dinner. Built around one of New England’s fleeting spring pleasures, the four-course meal celebrates locally grown asparagus in all its forms, from preserved asparagus broth with matzo balls to poached monkfish with yellow-eye beans and asparagus-cured egg yolk.

Chef Eric Cooper’s menu takes a decidedly creative turn throughout the evening, weaving the vegetable into nearly every course, including smoked pork loin with pickled asparagus and asparagus toum, plus a baked Hooligan cheese course with fingerlings and raw asparagus. Vegetarian substitutions are available for each course, and guests can add an optional dessert featuring asparagus upside-down cake and asparagus ice cream for an extra $25.

The dinner is $125 per person and includes four wine pairings (they’re not on the menu but they’re included in the price). Book your spot online here or by calling 617.576.5444 and plan a trip to Cambridge to be a part of this annual asparagus extravaganza.
