The Koji Club, Coming Soon

The Koji Club

There are only a handful of sake experts in the U.S., and Boston is getting its second! The Koji Club, a sake tasting and educational club built by the sake-obsessed Alyssa Mikiko DiPasquale, formerly of Cushman Concepts (the team behind Hojoko, o ya and Bianca, home to Boston’s OG sake expert, Nancy Cushman) is set to open up Boston’s first ever sake bar in the Allston-Brighton’s brand new Charles River Speedway Marketplace

The sake bar and tasting center is set to open this fall, but the good news is you don’t have to wait until then to try The Koji Club’s offerings — DiPasquale has planned a series of pop-up events this summer (keep an eye out for the details) at restaurants like Tiger Mama and Rebel Rebel locally and a few in NYC as well (Oddfellows Ice Cream and Niche Niche).

And of course you can always get your sake fix asap with a membership to The Koji Club ($79 per sake kit) where you can learn the stories behind the bi-weekly bottle selection and the best food pairings for each unique sake. The meetings, once held virtually, will now be held at South End’s The Urban Grape beginning July 2021. So don’t sleep on this exclusive experience to learn all you could ever want to know about sake from someone who truly knows it all.
