Nantucket Wine Festival

Make your ferry reservations now for the upcoming Nantucket Wine Festival. Now in its 7th year, the festival plays host to some of the major movers and shakers of the wine, food, and restaurant scenes from both near and far. Over the course of the six-day long event (May 13th-18th), guests can take part in cooking demonstrations with their favorite cookbook authors and chefs, attend seminars with award winning sommeliers and vintners or indulge their palates with food and wine tastings from some of the best chefs from on-island and off. Check the Festival’s website (www.nantucketwinefestival.com) for registration, pricing and schedule information or call 508.228.1128. It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer season and one of the only places where you’ll get all of these chefs on one small island. Keep an eye out for Jody Adams of Rialto; Mark Allen of Le Soir; Anthony Ambrose of Ambrosia; Mary Catherine Diebel, Deborah Hughes and Amanda Lydon of Upstairs on the Square; Gordon Hamersley of Hamersley’s Bistro; Thomas John of Mantra; Barbara Lynch and wine director Cat Silirie both of No. 9 Park; Frank McClelland of L’Espalier; Mark Orfaly of Pigalle; Raymond Ost of Sandrine’s; Michael Schlow of Radius and Via Matta; Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger and Ana Sortun of Oleana.
