Intro to Olive Oil


Dip your toe (metaphorically, speaking) into the wide world of olive oil with some guidance from James Beard Award-winning chef and cookbook author Ana Sortun. On Thursday, April 11th, the immensely talented co-owner of Oleana and Sofra is hosting a special cooking class that’ll introduce you to a few different oils and four easy sauces that’ll help you incorporate olive oil into your daily cooking in surprising and delicious new ways.

Sign up online here as soon as you’re able – tickets, priced at $135 each, are in short supply – and from 6:00pm-8:30pm you’ll get to watch Sortun and Co. demonstrate dishes like olives & za’atar, carrot tershi, ezme & baked feta with walnut & sesame, raisin and caper kerkennaise with arctic char. You get to sample everything, of course, and you’ll go home with all of the evening’s recipes and a whole new respect for olive oil.
