Sofra fans looking to learn how to make unique sweets can spend the evening with executive pastry chef Maura Kilpatrick on Thursday, April 25th when she hosts Greek Honey – Flavors of the Forest with Nikki Menounos of Portola in Woburn. Menounos, the owner and creator of the Greek-inspired specialty foods shop, has won multiple Great Taste awards for her Greek forest honey, which is produced when bees collect secretions from bark of certain trees, and it works wonderfully with a trio of Kilpatrick’s recipes.

Grab a ticket here for $135 to watch Kilpatrick make cheese fatayer with oak honey, melopita (pine honey cheesecake), and pastelli & mountain tea ice cream with fir honey sesame candy, while you’ll get to do some tasting and sipping. The class runs from 6:00 to 8:30pm at the Cambridge bakery, which will give you plenty of time to ask Qs, and you’ll even get a packet of recipes to take home so you can try them in your own kitchen. Sofra classes tend to fill up quickly so don’t wait to sign up, and keep your eye on their IG for any updates.
