If you’re in search of a proper French pastry or loaf of bread in The Hub, look no further than PRB Boulangerie in Somerville. The elegant bakery on Beacon Street turns out picture-perfect French Viennoiseries and loaves seven days a week, so you can start every day like a true Parisian.
The adorable bakery behind the bread at sister restaurants Petit Robert Bistro, Batifol, and Marseille is the brainchild of owner Loic Le Garrec, who was born and raised in Paris. It’s certainly the next best thing to a trip overseas with proper bistro tables and chairs, wicker accent lighting and clean, white tiling. Stop in for a perfectly flaky croissant and an espresso, or linger over a lunch selection of sandwiches, pizza slices and salads. Don’t forget to stash a fresh boule, batard, or baguette on your way home, and they can even take care of dinner to go with a selection of prepared entreés.
