- 1 cup soy
- 1 cup sweet sherry
- 4 garlic cloves, peeled and smashed with a knife
- 1 ginger root with skin sliced lengthwise, about 1/4" thick
- 1 medium white onion, quartered and broken apart
- 1 pinch fresh crushed black pepper
- 4 ounces vegetable
- Marinate 12 hours to overnight in refrigerator.
