Si Cara

Get ready for a fall full of canotto-style Neopolitan pizza and natural wine at Si Cara. Chef Michael Lombardi’s much-anticipated Central Square spot is now officially open for dinner daily starting at 4:00pm. You can book a table or just swing by (they save room for walk-ins) to snack on antipasti like garlic bread, white bean dip and peach crostini or make a meal of small plates like bitter melon panzanella or burrata with strawberries, shallots and fermented honey.

Be sure to save room (or map out your return trips) so you can work your way through the glorious selection of pizzas which range from classics (like margherita and pepperoni) to the inspired (think: corn with crab, charred scallion and shiso, and lamb with pickled eggplant and sesame gremolata).

Si Cara, located at 425 Mass Ave in the new Market Central development, is Lombardi’s first solo venture though he’s been steadily earning fans and accolades as the Executive Chef of SRV in the South End. The neighborhood pizzabar is a loving tribute to his Italian upbringing and his Nonna specifically who’d respond to his every request “Si Cara” which means ‘yes, dear” in Italian.
