Usher in the fall at Verrill Farm’s Annual BBQ on Saturday, September 20th from 12:00-6:00pm. This year’s expanded BBQ event offers activities for all ages with live music, pony rides and a Verrill Farm-hosted Grilling Class/Contest from 8:30am-12:00pm. If you’re just in it for the eats, the BBQ from Firefly’s in Marlboro will include ribs, pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and Verrill Farm corn. But the real fun is in the AM. Amateurs and professionals are invited to put their grilling skills to the test. For a $25.00 entry fee that includes 1.5 pound pork tenderloin, vegetables for grilling and a brief tutorial, contestants wielding their own seasonings, rubs etc., as well as a grill and utensils will face off. The deadline to enter is September 15th.
