Sip Alto Adige Wines in Cambridge

Alto Adige Wines

The Alto Adige region of Northern Italy is a little bit Alpine and a little bit Mediterranean, and produces some of the country’s most interesting wines. Come try the north-meets-south vibe of the area for yourself on Tuesday, February 6th at Forage as they explore the famed wine growing area where you can find racy, aromatic dry white wines alongside rich, Tuscan-style reds. Check out chef Eric Cooper’s four-course menu below, which features pairings like Burrata with Caramelized Onion, Pea Shoots, Calabrian Chili Oil and Tapioca Seedy Crackers matched with 2021 Muller-Thurgau, Muri-Gries; and Crispy Pork Belly with Green Lentils, Grilled Apples and Watercress paired with 2020 Lagrein Riserva, Glassier.

It costs $110 per person to dine in at Forage’s cozy Cambridge dining room, and you can make a reservation here. You can also stay in and watch a little Netflix over dinner by ordering everything to take out using this link; dinner costs $160 for two people. Don’t forget that all the wines are available to take home by the bottle at retail prices, just talk to your server or give wine guru Stan Hilbert a heads up and he’ll put a few aside for you at his Dedham bottle shop, Satellite. Give them a call at 617.576.5444 if you have any Qs, and sign up for their weekly newsletter on the website to stay in the know on all their 2024 wine dinners.
