On Monday, March 27th chef Ken DaFazio teams up with Il Capriccio’s wine guru Jeannie Rogers for a Piedmont Wine & Food Tasting at Mansfield’s Trattoria della Nonna. The five course dinner starts at 7:00pm with stuffed veal rollintini with bruschetta and shrimp fennel salad, followed by potato and meat croquettes wrapped in speck with truffle fondue; truffle risotto with poached quail egg; and braised beef and potato with bagna cauda. The evening’s culinary festivities wrap up with toasted angel food with chestnut chantilly and cherries in Barolo. For her part, Rogers will be using her extensive and award winning wine knowledge to pick an appropriate pairing for each course. The dinner costs $85 per person, not including tax or gratuity.
