Boston Open Streets comes to Centre Street in Jamaica Plain on Sunday, July 10th, and Tres Gatos, the city’s only bookstore/record shop/tapas spot, will be right in the middle of the action with an epic sidewalk sale. The street will be closed to cars from 7:00am to 3:00pm from Jackson Square to Centre/South so you can walk, bike or skate on down to hit the sale starting at 10:30am. The spread will include hundreds of $1 records from their basement archive, plus you can kick it to some live music from Sweet Petunia and Manouche Urbain and feast on snacks on the patio like their killer Albondigas, Patatas Bravas, or Stuffed Medjool Dates. There will also be some surprises that only the JP originals at Tres Gatos can pull off.

Boston Open Streets is a city initiative to give communities a day to experience community streets as public spaces, and the event kicks off at 9:00am, which will give you a little extra time to grab a coffee and get down there early for the best picks from the vinyl stacks.
