Mixology Classes at Craigie on Main

Upcoming classes, which start at 6:30pm and cost $45 per person, will explore the benefits of shaking vs. stirring and the ins and outs of making vermouth. On Monday, January 19th, Tom will be enlightening his students as to the proper time to shake a drink (hint: it’s not as often as you may think) as well as basic bar maintenance – like the use of jiggers and citrus and straight spirit drinks.

When Bar Meets Kitchen: Making Your Own Vermouth
On Monday, January 26th, Tom will turn his attention to vermouth. Participants will learn about the many and varied types of this adulterated wine and how to mix up their own batch (both sweet and dry) from scratch. Once everyone’s got that down, there’ll be some cocktail creation so everyone can put their new-found skills to good use.
