California’s legendary Napa Valley is filled with glam wineries and sleek tasting rooms, but one outsider stands out — Forlorn Hope. The 75-acre winery and vineyard in the Sierra Foothills, founded by winemaker Matthew Rorick, produces beautiful natural wines, which are lovingly referred to as their “rare creatures,” and you can give them a taste this week, and meet Rorick himself, at Forage’s Forlorn Hope Wine Dinner on Tuesday, April 23rd.

Sneak a peek at chef Eric Cooper’s menu below, which has some lovely seasonal ingredients sprinkled throughout like Buckwheat Soba Noodles, Dandelion Greens, Sesame Oil, Black Vinegar, Housemade Tamari, Bijou Plumped Fiddleheads paired with 2019 “Jarre” Chenin Blanc. Grab a reservation here for the Cambridge dining room between 5:00 and 8:45pm; dinner costs $135 per person, which covers all your food and the wine pairings, including the chance to try the same wine made with and without sulfur side by side (no takeout wine dinners this week).
