Savory Recipes from Sofra

Sofra

Fans of Sofra know that the tasty, award-winning bakeshop in Cambridge is more than just sugar and spice, and you can learn to make the mezze meals of your dreams on Thursday, December 14th with chef Ana Sortun. The Middle Eastern-inspired bakery is named for the Turkish word that describes everything you need to prepare the table, from the place settings, glassware, and more, and Sortun will walk you through a handful of recipes from their cookbook, “Soframiz,” to fill out your own table this winter, including cheese borek with nigella seeds, kohlrabi pancakes with bacon, and haloumi and green apple fatoush. Grab a ticket here for $150 for this hands-on, immersive class from 6:00 to 8:30pm. Your ticket includes the class, snacks and bites to enjoy there (plus plenty to take home), and a signed copy of “Soframiz” Sofra’s classes tend to sell out quickly so don’t hesitate if you’re interested, and be sure to bookmark their classes page so you know when all their workshops are happening this season.
