Mark your calendars – On Monday, September 19th chef Jody Adams welcomes The Kitchen Divas, some of the country’s top female culinary talent, to Rialto for a gala benefit supporting Share Our Strength. Each of The Kitchen Divas – Emily Luchetti of Farallon in San Francisco, Nancy Silverton of La Brea Bakery in Los Angeles, Melissa Kelly of Primo in Rockland, Maine, and Carmen Gonzalez of Carmen the Restaurant in Coral Gables, Florida – will prepare a course for the five course menu. The evening, which also marks Rialto’s 11th birthday, gets underway at 6:30pm with a champagne reception in the Noir bar, followed by dinner at 8:00pm upstairs at Rialto. Courses will include (see if you can guess which chef created each dish) Kobe beef ropa vieja with sweet corn, vine-ripe tomatoes and boniato mash; stracciatella with herb salad and celery pesto; and almond financier with apple marmalade, vanilla bean cream and candied almonds.
