Hot Off the Vine at Restaurant & Lounge

If you haven’t made it over to 33 Restaurant & Lounge on a Wednesday night for their Hot Off the Vine wine tasting series, the month of March yields another batch of exploratory opportunities that shouldn’t be missed. The weekly events take place from 5:00-7:00pm and are the perfect place to sample wines from around the world as paired with yummy morsels from chef Anthony Dawodu. The March schedule includes sessions focusing on wines from Alsace, the Pacific Northwest, Northeast Spain, blends of the New World and wines from California as paired with cheeses from Formaggio Kitchen. Wednesday, March 1st – The Route du Vin: Wines of Alsace

The Alsatian Route du Vin stretches some 60 miles from north to south and encompasses several vineyards of Grand Cru status. Gewurtraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris are the standout grape varietals along the Route du Vin. This tasting will explore the great white wines of the Alsatian area on the French-German Border
