Grotto’s Ides of March Dinner

Chef Scott Herritt celebrates the Ides of March (and Saint Patrick’s Day) by welcoming MS Walker’s Dan Hirschkop to Grotto on Thursday, March 17th for a dinner marking both New Year’s Day of the Roman calendar as well as the assassination of Julius Caesar. Designed to include a broader scope of Italian wines, the Ides of March Dinner will showcase five of Hirschkop’s favorite wines from Piedmont and Tuscany, homes to Barolos and Barveresco, and Chianti, Sangiovese, and Super Tuscans, respectively. Herritt will design corresponding courses to complement each selection. Hirschkop will be on hand during dinner to describe the variables and offer insight to the wines he has selected.
