You don’t have to study for a year abroad in Barcelona to understand the wines of the Catalunya region of Spain, you just need a reservation to this week’s wine dinner at Forage on Tuesday, November 28th. Chef Eric Cooper and wine guru Stan Hilbert have narrowed down four fab bottles from the region that was established in 2001 as a way to offer smaller wine growing regions their own DO, so you know there’ll be some excellent bottles from independent winemakers. Check out the menu below for pairings like Scallop Crudo with Kumquats, Arugula and Garlic Honey paired with 2021 Garnacha, Alta Roses; and Evoo Poached Chilled Monkfish with Wine Rehydrated Figs, Squash Puree and Herb Salad paired with 2022 Camins del Priorat, Alvaros Palacios.

Dinner costs $110 per person to dine in the cozy Cambridge dining room, and you can make a reservation here between 5:00 and 8:45. Or take the whole feast to go for two people by ordering here ($160, feeds two people). Don’t forget that you’re going to need a lot of wine to get through the holidays, so if you taste a bottle you like be sure to take it home with you at retail prices after dinner.
