Chefs Showcase Food from Local Farms

Some of Boston’s best-known chefs are teaming up with local local food growers and purveyors for this year’s annual Community Food Security Conference. The conference runs from Saturday, November 1st through 5th, at the Park Plaza Hotel. The chefs, who are all champions of cooking with local, seasonal, and artisanal ingredients, will be presenting their regionally flavored dishes at Monday night’s New England Harvest Reception at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Guests will sample artfully prepared local specialties, including artisanal cheeses, assorted seafood, pumpkins, roasted vegetables, and many more delicious home-grown favorites. Participating Chefs include Joseph Cerqueria of Atasca, Brad Stevens of The Food Project, Jay Murray of Grill 23 & Bar, Chris Douglass of Icarus, Mark Usewicz of The Independent, Michael Leviton of Lumière and Jody Adams of Rialto & the Sapphire Restaurant Group.
