Union Square’s dynamic duo reunites on Thursday, April 17th when chef Mark Usewicz welcomes Al Capone to The Independent for the 5th Capone Foods Dinner. The stunning products of Capone Foods have been tranformed and incorporated into a menu that boasts cold cucumber soup with radish and grains of paradise; spicy Kobe beef tartare with boquerones, quail egg and traditional accompaniments; and rotoli of pasta stuffed with spinach and chilies with a ragout of San Marzano tomatoes, spring peas and lobster. Finish your meal with some of Al’s handpicked cheeses or his cheesecake with dolce de leche. The five course prix-fixe menu is $45 per person, with seatings at 6:00, 8:00 and 10:00pm.
