Battle of the Sous Chefs

Taking their cues from the Food Network’s eternally popular Iron Chef series, Mitzi Kaitz of Lucy’s in Brookline and some of the city’s up-and-coming culinary talent go toque to toque in the first Battle of the Sous Chefs. Each having received a bag of ingredients, sous chefs Joe Fournier of Lucy’s, Jim Gracie of Anthem, Patty Gardner of Azure, Stephen Hoddinott of the Metropolitan Club and Mike Boulos of La Morra will head to the kitchen at Lucy’s, tasked with creating a specific course with their set of ingredients. To keep things interesting and in line with Lucy’s culinary concept, none of the competitors should expect to find butter or cream in their ingredient bag. Diners will vote on which course they enjoyed the most and the winning chef will be crowned king or queen.
