And the Nominees are…

Congratulations to this year’s crop of James Beard Award nominees including local chefs Michael Leviton of Lumière, Frank McClelland of L’Espalier, Marc Orfaly of Pigalle, Ana Sortun of Oleana and Clark Frasier and Mark Gaier of Arrows in Ogunquit, Maine. Winners will be announced at The 15th Annual James Beard Foundation Awards on Monday, May 2nd at the New York Marriott Marquis. The theme of this year’s ceremony is Chefs’ Tribute to Julia Child. The list of Boston area chefs to have taken home the coveted award in years past includes Ken Oringer, Jody Adams, Gordon Hamersley, Lydia Shire, Barbara Lynch, Susie Regis and Todd English (pictured right with 2004 Best Chef Northeast Award winner Sam Hayward of Fore Street in Portland, Maine).
