A Tasteful Pursuit: Chefs on Tour for Hunger

Four of the country’s hottest young chefs are making a pit stop at UpStairs on the Square this June as a part of a nationwide tour to raise funds to end childhood hunger in A Tasteful Pursuit: Chefs on Tour for Hunger. Chef Bradford Thompson of Mary Elaine’s at the Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, chef Cornelius Gallagher of Oceana in New York, pastry chef John Iuzzini of Jean Georges in New York and pastry chef Sherry Yard of Spago in Los Angeles will be traveling to seven cities in the States and teaming up with the culinary who’s who in each market to create a seven-course menu paired with ultra premium wines. They hit Boston on Thursday, June 16th joining resident chef Susie Regis in the kitchen at UpStairs on the Square. Also on hand for the evening: local chefs Marc Orfally of Pigalle, David Kinkead of Sibling Rivalry, and Jenny Cates of Bonfire. The evening, which gets underway at 6:30pm, includes a gala auction and surprise celebrity emcee. Tickets cost $185 per person with proceeds benefiting Share Our Strength, one of the nation’s leading anti-hunger organizations.
