A Bit of Magic at The Liberty

The Liberty Hotel

Things are about to get a little mysterious at The Liberty Hotel on Beacon Hill. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between now and the end of the month, magician and mentalist Christopher Wayne is bringing a darker twist to the Boston Theatre of Magic, with a special Halloween edition of his show that’ll have you questioning everything you think you know about how the world works.

Set inside the historic former Charles Street Jail, the 90-minute performance combines mind-bending mentalism, sleight of hand and good old-fashioned magic tricks, all with a slightly spooky seasonal spin. With just 60 seats per show, it’s an up-close-and-personal experience, so you can try to figure out how Wayne pulls off his illusions (good luck with that).

Tickets are $69 per person ($59 if you’ve got 8+ in your party, or $109 for VIP), and the show is recommended for ages 12 and up. Scoop up your tickets online here and prepare to have your mind thoroughly messed with. Pro tip: extend the magic with dinner at Clink or Scampo, grab drinks before or after the show at Liberty Bar, or book yourself a room so you can stay overnight and really make a night of it.

Check out all the festive – and delicious! – ways to get into the spirit of Halloween.
