On Saturday, January 22nd and Sunday, January 23rd the Seaport World Trade Center hosts two full days of wine-soaked, fun at the 20th annual Boston Wine Expo. Wine lovers can revel in the oenophilic extravaganza with a glass or two of wine (there will be 1800 options from 300 different wineries) at the Grand Tasting or sign on for one of twenty six seminars – the topics, much like the wine, are varied and many. Of course, good wine isn’t quite complete without good food to go along with it. To take care of that, two fully-equipped demo kitchens will set the stage for several cooking demonstrations throughout the two day affair. Keep an eye out for Blue Ginger‘s Ming Tsai, Summer Shack‘s Jasper White, Hamersley’s Bistro, Gordon Hamersley, Kingfish Hall‘s Todd English, Radius, Via Matta and Alta Strada‘s Michael Schlow, Top of the Hub‘s Marc Porcaro, Chez Henri‘s Paul O’Connell, Pigalle‘s Mark Orfaly, Aura‘s Rachel Klein, dante‘s Dante de Magistris and Meritage and Rowes Wharf Sea Grille‘s Daniel Bruce. Also new this year will be a selection of restaurant sampling from 3:00 to 6:00pm where guests can nibble on tastes from the likes of Bokx 109, North 26, Pairings, Taranta and The Fireplace.
