Lambert Givens

Chef Lambert Givens is no stranger to competition. After playing college football at South Carolina State University, he took his competitive spirit and love for food to Boston where he climbed up through the ranks and cut his teeth under some of the best chefs in the city.

He joined the Broadway Restaurant Group in 2017 under the leadership and expertise of Culinary Director Chef Nicholas Dixon. He soon worked his way through the kitchens of Broadway Restaurant Group, flexing his culinary prowess at Lincoln, Capo, and Fat Baby before landing his dream opportunity as executive chef of Hunter’s Kitchen & Bar. Since the restaurant’s August 2021 opening, he has been serving up delicious Southern comfort food in the heart of South Boston.

Despite not attending culinary school, Lambert has risen to the occasion at every opportunity. His success is a product of hard work and dedication – and, of course, his love of food. He has always loved cooking and always been very passionate about providing memorable dining experiences for guests by creating unique recipes for delicious dishes.

At this newly anointed hot spot, Lambert or “Lambo” as his friends call him, features southern-inspired plates like chicken and dumplings with shaved black truffle, fried chicken and waffles with a cheddar liege waffle, skillet cornbread and smoked meats including brisket and St. Louis ribs.

In his free time, you can find him rooting for the hometown team, the New England Patriots, watching college football or walking his Siberian Husky, Max.
