The Boston Harbor Hotel has announced the lineup for the 35th annual Boston Wine & Food Festival, just in time to get you excited for 2024. The three-month festival is one of the longest running wine and food festivals in the country, and this year has a lot of tasting packed in that’ll be led by the hotel’s team of executive chef David Daniels, and sommelier Nick Daddona.

The first week of the festival kicks off on Friday, January 12th with an Opening Reception ($155) in the waterfront hotel’s luxe Wharf Room, which includes a fab walk-around wine tasting and some delicious bites. There are all sorts of other themed weekends, intimate winemaker-hosted dinners, brunches, tastings and seminars throughout the festival including an uber-elegant Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Reserve Dinner; a revisiting of the legendary “Judgement of Paris” tasting of 1975 when California wines beat out their French counterparts; and a James Bond Bordeaux Dinner with wine educator Philippe Newlin, who will show you the famed region through the eyes of one of fiction’s most famous fans of Claret.

If you need a good excuse to treat yourself to a tasting or two, this year’s festival will benefit The Greater Boston Food Bank, which does a ton to feed people in need around the city, and Wine Unify, which amplifies the voices of non-white, underrepresented minorities in the wine industry. Check out the full schedule with tickets and pricing here. If you are planning to visit from parts outside the city, or you just want to treat yourself to a wine-centric staycation, the hotel has a special room rate of $295 per night on the days when there’s events, which you can investigate here, or give the hotel a call at 617.439.7000. You can also follow along virtually on the hotel’s socials (Facebook and Insta) to get your palate primed.
