The talented bar team at Somerville’s Rosebud American Kitchen & Bar are taking part in a fundraiser running through the end of Black History Month that goes down super easy. Head to Davis Square anytime between now and the end of February and order one of three special old fashioned cocktails made with Uncle Nearest and $1 will be donated to the premium whiskey company’s HBCU Old Fashioned Challenge. The goal is to raise $1 million for historically Black colleges and universities, which have been grossly underfunded for the past 30 years. At the end of the month Uncle Nearest will distribute all the funds amongst the country’s top 58 ranked HBCUs for them to use as they see fit.
