Tiffani Faison’s Tenderoni’s is Coming to Fenway

Brian Samuels for Tenderoni's

Fans of Tiffani Faison’s High Street Place pizza spot (and anyone who likes a good slice) will be delighted to hear: the James Beard Award-nominated chef and restaurateur will be opening a souped up version of Tenderoni’s in the Fenway space that once housed Tiger Mama.

Scheduled to be up-and-running in November (that’s just next month!), the Boylston Street location (just a few doors down from Faison’s first restaurant, Sweet Cheeks Q) will feature Tenderoni’s signature cheese-laden, chewy-yet-crispy-crusted 2.5-foot-long pizzas in fun and tasty iterations like Sausage ‘N Pepps (red, hot Italian sausage, onions & peppahs), Chickie Chickie Boom (spicy Q, roasted chicken, fontina, red onion, pickles) and, of course, the Tenderoni (red, mozz, fontina, roni cups). With the much bigger space ‘though comes a much bigger menu so guests can also expect deliciousness like burrata with crispy mushrooms, marsala gravy and parsley, pastas like pizza pan lasagna with fontina fonduta, gravy meat, ricotta, fresh mozzarella and burnt edges, and a slew of Italian-American-ish salads, sides and entrees as well as playful desserts.

Designed by Cambridge’s PCA Architecture, the dining room at 1363 Boylston Street will feature 140 seats, two bars, and a to-go window for take-out and ‘za by the slice. Check back for updates about the official opening and a peek at the debut menu as soon as it’s available. If you get hungry while you wait, you can always head Downtown to satisfy your cravings at the original outpost on High Street.
