Chef Jeremy Sewall has created three Nicaraguan-ish dishes, proceeds from which will be donated to Friends of Students for 60,000, a nonprofit that works on behalf of the poor in Nicaragua (one of the poorest countries in the hemisphere). Last year the restaurant helped build a home, this year they’re hoping to raise enough to pay a teacher’s salary for a whole year. If you can’t make it for dinner, stop by for a cocktail – they’ve created a whole list featuring Flor de Cana (a Nicaraguan rum).
